[SMM Rare Earth Morning Meeting Summary: Multiple Factors in the Market Drive Rapid Increase in Raw Material Prices] Last week, driven by speculation on news, the price of Pr-Nd oxide rose rapidly, with some suppliers raising their quotes to 460,000 yuan/mt. As the market news continued to spread, traders continued to quote higher prices, and feedback indicated that there had already been quotes of 470,000 yuan/mt today. SMM July 14 News:

Rare Earth Ores

Prices: The price of rare earth carbonate is approximately 36,900 yuan/mt, the price of monazite is around 44,000 yuan/mt, and the price of medium-yttrium, europium-rich ore standard ore is about 195,000 yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Recently, shipments from rare earth ore suppliers have been low, with most market participants holding onto their stocks and anticipating price increases. Prices of rare earth ores have shown a slight upward trend.

Rare Earth Oxides.

Prices: The quotation range for Pr-Nd oxide from last Friday to now is approximately 460,000-470,000 yuan/mt, the mainstream quotation range for dysprosium oxide is 1.66-1.7 million yuan/mt, and the quotation range for terbium oxide is around 7.16-7.2 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Last week, driven by speculative factors in the news, the price of Pr-Nd oxide rose rapidly, with some suppliers raising their quotations to 460,000 yuan/mt. As market news continued to spread, traders continued to raise their quotations, with reports of 470,000 yuan/mt quotations today. Given the rapid price increase, producers have adopted a wait-and-see sentiment, with fewer quotations being offered in the market.

Rare Earth Metals

Prices: The mainstream quotation range for Pr-Nd alloy is 552,000-558,000 yuan/mt, the quotation for dysprosium-iron alloy is around 1.59-1.61 million yuan/mt, and the quotation for terbium metal is approximately 8.85-8.9 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Last week, influenced by the significant fluctuations in the oxide market and the tender for Pr-Nd alloy by a major magnetic material manufacturer, most metal factories suspended their quotations and only participated in the tender. Due to the rapid increase in oxide prices, the tender price also rose significantly. Market transactions were sparse, with a strong wait-and-see sentiment.

NdFeB Blanks

Prices: NdFeB blank N38 (Ce) is quoted at 146-156 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40M is quoted at 192-202 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40H is quoted at 196-206 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 45SH (Ce) is quoted at 246-266 yuan/kg.

Supply and Demand: Last week, magnetic material quotations increased slightly, with trading activity showing a rebound compared to before. Driven by the cost increase from the continuous strengthening of upstream rare earth oxide and metal prices, magnetic material enterprises generally raised their quotations slightly. In terms of transactions, with the gradual standardization and normalization of the export approval process, some enterprises actively promoted the execution of export orders, driving a steady increase in overall market transaction frequency.

NdFeB Scrap

Prices: Pr-Nd recycled from NdFeB scrap is quoted at 494-505 yuan/kg; dysprosium recycled from NdFeB scrap is quoted at 1,610-1,621 yuan/kg; terbium recycled from NdFeB scrap is quoted at 5,439-5,550 yuan/kg.

Supply and demand: Last week, the market price of scrap rose, mainly due to the increase in the price of the oxide market. However, as market news continued to spread, the speculative sentiment in the oxide market surged, and suppliers in the scrap market held onto their inventory and were reluctant to sell, with strong wait-and-see sentiment.
